Tips for optimal burn:

1) Keep your wood wick trimmed to about 1/8", and clean of any burnt wood from the previous burn. If you do not have a wick trimmer you could pinch the excess burnt wood with your fingers before lighting. Be sure to do this when the candle is cooled.

2) The wooden wick should not produce any soot or smoke. If you do experience smoke, besure to trim your wick.

3) The first burn is the most important - be sure to give your candle enough time to burn and develop a melted wax pool that goes all the way to the edge of the container. This could usually take 2-3 hours.

4) If you do not allow your candle to burn to the edge of the jar, this will cause tunneling and will have trouble staying lit.

5) The wooden wick should not produce any soot or smoke. If you do experience smoke, be sure to trim your wick.

6) Be sure to not burn near any flammable objects and away from walls.

**Never burn longer than 4 hour intervals. Be sure to set your candle on a heat-resistant surface and avoid drafts if possible. Always burn within sight and extinguish it before leaving the room. Keep away from children and pets. Don't burn near anything that could catch fire. Always let the wax cool before relighting or handling it.**
